Organically grown in India, and naturally dyed in Italy without the use of chemicals. Natural dyeing allows the inherent softness and beauty of the cotton fibre to shine out, giving the yarn a supreme handle and a fantastic stitch definition. 

The dyes are also organic, grown and harvested without chemical intervention, and include brazilwood, Quebracho bark, madder, yellowwood, lipstick tree and logwood. 

Purelife Organic Cotton is supported by its own pattern brochure specially designed by Marie Wallin, featuring 18 beautiful designs for all of the family. The patterns present a clean and focused collection perfectly complimenting the ethically produced yarn.

Rowan has even taken the concept right through to making sure that the plastic bag the yarn comes in is UV-degradable, as well as the accompanying brochure which has recycled paper and uses vegetable inks!
